Serving Within the Church
Within your family at home, each person probably has certain jobs that they do that help the family function. There are also many opportunities for the St. Mark’s Church Family to participate in the life of the Church according to the gifts with which they have been blessed. Some are very short term and others require a longer commitment. If you are interested in knowing more about one or more of these opportunities to serve, please contact the church office at 419-238-6336. ALTAR GUILD - prepares the church sanctuary for worship GREETERS - welcome members and guests to St. Mark’s USHERS - escort worshippers to their seats and help in various ways during the service LECTORS - lead the congregation in reading the scriptures during Worship ACOLYTES - assist during the service TAPE MINISTRY - records, duplicates, and delivers tapes of the service to shut-ins COMMUNION MINISTRY - takes Holy Communion to shut-in and home-bound members CARD MINISTRY - sends cards to shut-ins and hospitalized members MUSIC MINISTRY
PRAYER MINISTRY
BULLETIN ASSEMBLY TEAM - meets weekly to fold and assemble bulletins and newsletters EDUCATION MINISTRY - teach Sunday School classes and facilitate small groups CHURCH COUNCIL - meets on the third Tuesday of each month KITCHEN MINISTRY - prepares meals for various church events COMMITTEES - there are many other committees on which members serve to the Glory of God |
